Portions for 1 serving:
1 pear
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 cinnamon stick
Peel and pare an pear, then cut it in small dices. Place the cinnamon stick in a small pan on low heat, cover with the pear and sprinkle with the sugar. Cook over low heat and stir to keep from burning. Serve when the pear is tender.
The pears can also be cooked in an oven dish. Adjust temperature and cooking time to taste. I like to use high temperature to melt the sugar. It takes about 5mn.
Excellent for breakfast or brunch!!!
